When rest is medically necessary but emotionally difficult. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Your body is not your god and it is not your enemy. It is temporary, valuable, and worth stewarding under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
